There is another version that is designed specifically for teenagers is the MMPI-A. The newer version of MMPI is the MMPI-2-RF and takes about forty to fifty minutes to complete, but because of the large research base and psychologists’ familiarity with the test, the MMPI-2 is the version that is still widely used. MMPI-2 takes almost sixty to ninety minutes to finish 567 true and false questions, whereas, MMPI-2-RF consists of 338 true and false questions. It was developed by the end of the 1930s and since then, it has been updated and revised several times so that its accuracy and validity can be improved. Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory is the most commonly used and validated clinical screening method used by practitioners in mental health to help in the diagnosis of mental health disorders.
